How Rope Cleaning Spiral Brushes Work

Each rope cleaning brush is constructed as an inward (inverted) spiral coil — a strip brush wound into a spring-like coil with bristles facing the center bore. The rope or cable is threaded through the coil and pulled through, or the brush is slid along the rope, so that the rotating bristles penetrate strand gaps and scrub away contaminants. Regular use significantly extends rope service life by removing abrasive particles that accelerate internal wear.
