Crimped wire wheel brushes are distinguished from knotted wire wheel brushes by their wire construction. Crimped wire has a wavy profile that provides flex and cushioning during contact, making it well suited for general-purpose cleaning, light deburring, and edge blending where a controlled, consistent finish is required. Knotted wire is stiffer and more aggressive, better suited for heavy-duty weld spatter removal and severe scale stripping.
